               LES building and operating the National Enrichment Facility

At full capacity, the National Enrichment Facility will provide approximately 5% of America's energy needs.  The National Enrichment Facility will fuel power plants and power plants fuel our energy needs.


Background information

History was made on June 23, 2006 when the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the first time, issued LES a license to construct and operate the National Enrichment Facility, a gas centrifuge uranium enrichment plant located near Eunice, New Mexico. The plant is scheduled to be online 2009.
